Malaekahana Beach Campground

It's been forever since I last visited this place. Never stayed in the 'cabins' until this visit. Nice little getaway and the price isn't terrible. Definitely going back for a longer stay next time.

I love going to this place. It's one of the best camping grounds to me. But there's also a lot of cons. Just rundown Hale's(huts) and bathrooms. Could use a little love but it gets the job done.

Amazing experience in the suite. Definitely preferred having my own bathroom and access to electricity. Wonderful beach front camping. Helpful, friendly staff. Loved the chickens!

LOVE THIS CAMPING. Too bad they’re the only privately owned camping on Oahu as far as I know. All the other camping spots around the island are government owned. So unless you wanna deal with people partying till 3 am and leaving hella trash everywhere, Malaekahana is the place to be. There’s an abundance of tent spots you can rent for $13 per night or they offer full size cabins (if that’s your thing). The amazing beach that stretches to the east boasts a cool little surf spot that’s perfect for beginners. Shout out to Meowzers, coolest cat EVER !!!

Was very peaceful. Reservations were easy online and they answered all my questions via email. Campsite was just as pictured online. Easy walking to the restroom. Fire pit so could cook dinner and sit outside as late as I wanted. Other groups/families, but everyone was respectful. My only tiny complaint was signage. I missed turn to check in. Signs on road were tiny.
