Sometimes it's the unexpected stops that can make a pleasant experience! Excellent food, relaxed atmosphere, friendly staff...all fit the bill for this gem of a find! Guaranteed you won't be disappointed to stop off in Lead on your visit here! We originally had intended to stop elsewhere but that was closed, so a quick search pulled up High Country as an option, completely happy with that find! Only have pictures of my Miners 1/4 pound burger and my husbands Philly Cheese steak sandwich, but everyone was busy chowing down! Thanks for the wonderful hospitality!!

Service was great! They didnt have a couple things we asked for. No big deal because the food we received was good! It was however a little chilly in there. The actual building is a pretty neat layout.

Very small nice local restaurant. Great being able to support small ma/pop shop instead of the big franchises. Waitress was friendly. Good food

Ordered an game brat with deep fried breaded mushrooms. Meal was $12 plus $2 extra for mushrooms and a dollar extra for sauerkraut. The brought was over grilled, Harden black on the outside. I ate the mushrooms and two bites of the brat. Waitress came back to drop off the check and ask how everything was. I informed her that the brat was overcooked. they took $4 off of my meal. So I ended up paying $11 for a small pile of fried mushrooms and two bites of a burnt bratwurst. On a good note, the staff seemed friendly and the restaurant was clean. Probably won't be going back though.

I love this place!!! Friendly fun staff, great owners who really care about customers. They go above and beyond to serve delicious food in a fun family atmosphere. Awesome place to have a beer and relax in this cool historic building. I love their home cooked meals and variety. Seems like every time iI is they have something yummy on the smoker. I would highly recommend stopping in for a great meal or for a nice cold beer.
