Sunnyside KinderCare

Very poor communication with parents on behalf of the management. Most teachers were lovely, but it was rare that I was told about who my daughters teacher would be and what class she would be in. It seems they care more about the money than your child, and staff is underpaid for the work that they do.

My twins boys have been going to KinderCare Sunnyside since they were 10 months old. All the teachers in this center are caring, professionals, kind, tranquil and compassionate. During the pandemic they make sure the kids feel “normal” and fill their days with plenty of activities . I can’t express in words how grateful we are for all the teachers in this center. You guys rock ! Thanks !

I went in for a tour and I was horrified! I currently drive 45 mins to my kids current daycare so I was looking for something closer to home. They were the only place that had availability. First off there was a smell that gave off the impression of dirtiness. Not the fresh smell you get when people clean their facilities often. I was walked into the after school program area and the teacher was reading to the kids that seemed so staged. I witnessed the Teacher Ellie violently grab a young blonde girls chair towards her for looking away while she was reading and then grabbed the girls arm. I was at that point almost in tears. I wanted to walk out right then in there but out of curiosity went into the two year olds classroom where once again another staged scene where kids had play doh placed in front of them with no accessories to play with. They looked like they didn’t know what to do with it. No one was even picking it up. The bathroom area smelled very strong and the cots that were pointed out that the children would be sleeping on were filthy dirty. You could see filth on the walls. I walked out and had a discussion with the director and by that time I was in tears. She apologized and said she would look into everything that I said. Which clearly is pointless. You are the director... you know how your facility is ran. I am willing to just to continue to make my 45 minute commute to my original daycare. I wouldn’t recommend this daycare to anyone!!! My heart truly breaks for the little blonde girl. She looked at me mortified. Like she had this look of “help me” in her eyes.

Being first time parents my husband and I were so nervous to put our daughter in daycare. The infant teachers are so wonderful, answer all my questions and never mind if I call to check to see how she’s doing. When I pick up our daughter she is happy and smiling which is so comforting for me as I know she is well cared for during the day.
