The two of us went on a one-day dig program on short notice (less than one week) with Stacia in July. After a 20-to 30-minute drive to the dig area, we learned how to identify fossilized dinosaur bone fragments (and got to keep some for ourselves!) and visited several upended nearby bone sites and egg nests.nnAfter an excellent bagged lunch, we proceeded to the nearby dig site and spent the afternoon clearing rock at a maiasaura egg site, during which we found several egg fragments, fossilized snails, and fossilized dinosaur poop.nnAfter finishing for the day, we received a personalized tour of the lab and wandered the museum. Even if you are only visiting the museum, we strongly suggest chatting with the paleontologists to learn about their work.nnOverall, one of the best parts of the day was getting to know Stacia and learning about the everyday life of paleontologists, from dig sites to academia. We really got to learn and understand their work firsthand from a wonderful teacher and facilitator. We recommend the full-day tour if you can--an amazing experience! Be sure to bring sunscreen!

My son and I did the dig program here and it was incredible! Aaron was amazing and so knowledgeable. Got to see and touch a lot of bones and spent the afternoon digging for eggs! Even got to throw a rock into the local sinkhole. If you're interested in dinosaurs and geological history it is definitely worth it.

This place kind of seems random but an intriguing place to stop after driving for hours to get to/from Glacier. Admission is only $5 and it might take 5-20 minutes tops to stroll through the museum unless you participate in their field programs, but the exhibits are pretty cool. No bells and whistles, just some fossils and descriptions about them. I wanted to get some souvenirs for my nephews and the cashier seemed very knowledgeable about the types of books they sold. They also informed me about the Montana dinosaur trail. It was overall a good pit stop.

Super awesome place! We were driving down the road while on our way to Glacier Falls, Montana and when we saw a huge dinosaur out front, we decided we had to stop. The Guy working was super cool and we bought a lot of cool dinosaur figures and other little trinkets. Definitely a place to check out!
