It's run like a KOA!

If you are looking for camping near Yellowstone, look no farther. KOA Mountainside is perfect. The employees are amazingly nice and extremely accommodating. The campground itself is set in a valley with breathtaking views, all around. The camp is bordered by Gallatin National Park, and a gurgling stream also runs along many of the campsites. Crossing the stream to the north takes you to an area with four fishing ponds and an amazing view of the mountains. Also, the bathrooms are very clean, there is a sink for washing dishes and the pizza at the camp store is delicious. Can't give this KOA enough stars.

We stayed here for 4 nights while visiting Yellowstone. It's about 10 minutes from the west entrance to the park.nnAs far as RV parks go, I'd day this is on the nicer side. It's a big RV park and it didn't feel to crowded. We had an end spot so we weren't super close to any other RVs.nnThey had a small store with some camping/grocery essentials. We got some snacks there after a long day in the park.nnMy main complaint is that they say they have WiFi, but it's so bad that your device typically won't stay connected to the network.nnOverall, it's not bad as far as RV parks go. Their sites are full hookup and they have laundry too.

I came here after a bad experience at the west entrance koa about a mile down the road. By far one of the best campsites I've seen up here. Quite level spots with a nice picnic bench and a fire pit. The staff were great and the few days I was there, even better. The front office and shop also had a pizza joint which had great pizza, the crust was a little burnt in some places, but totally worth it for the amazing taste. I also have got to give massive props to one of the cooks at the pizza place,(or the only one, I couldn't tell), who had such a jolly attitude and gave off really happy vibes. All things covered I'd give it a 6 out of 5 if I could. Great time and I couldn't recommend it more.

Very friendly staff and well stocked store, til 10pm. Organized, open campsite with modern shower/toilet buildings. Close to town, 8 miles. Would recommend staying again
