I usually love visiting this campground. It's a beautiful area on the river and is always full. Great Area to fish and relax and enjoy the outdoors. It has clean bathrooms. This year the attendants were really quite rude to a lot of people, not myself though, and they kept the gate closed so not as easy to access. I can understand not wanting the traffic to pull in and park, but the way they handled I felt wasn't right. One of the people they were getting mad at, they charged money to pull out their kayaks there. I don't know if that was right or not, but the way they spoke to people was not right.

Gorgeous trail leaving from Upper Coffeepot Campground. Trial follows the river. Easy hike.

This is a beautiful spot, but the last thing it needs is publicity on Google maps. There are already too few spots and it's impossible to get one when you want. We've been trying for many years. Finally got one last year, enjoyed it very much, but there are other campgrounds in the area that are better equipped to handle the numbers of people that enjoy camping in Island Park. For example, Buffalo Campground.

Upper Coffeepot is a great place. Though we did not camp there,we have visited it twice over the last week and enjoyed it thoroughly. The Henry's Fork there is shallow and flat which is great for tubers. Fishing there is fun but the fish are quite small. The trail along the river is beautiful and give you the opportunity to see some wildlife like eagles, ospreys, kingfishers and many other birds. The campsites appear to be clean and well maintained. High recommended.

Stunning. We went here to go fishing. Didn't end up catching anything but it was truly beautiful and peaceful.
