The Rock Gym - Rexburg

Need to call out some safety issues at The Rock Gym. They like to pack people in. Politics about mask safety or sanitation aside, the routes are so packed in you'll inevitably be stepping on someone's fingers. More frustrating than anything (but also a safety hazard) are the actual ropes at this gym are cut too short to allow enough tail for safe climbing.nnEven if you're a casual climber, this gym is more suited for kid's birthday parties.This goes back to the issue of gym size, which is understandable for Rexburg. Lastly, the routes are set poorly where a 5.10 might be more doable than a 5.8.nnThe two stars are for the friendly climbing staff and the bouldering wall (granted too many people result in a strange competitive vibe). The staff is a bit new but when we had an issue the management was super responsive and was more than willing to help out and improve in anyway they could. All our issues were resolved:) Have a great time it’s awesome!!!!

We love the positive environment at The Rock Gym. My daughter has enjoyed their kids rock climbing classes. Their instructors keep it positive and fun.

Great place! Family friendly and a great atmosphere. We had our kids birthday there and the private room was great!

Some grades were pretty soft. But great gym with good atmosphere
