Long drive to get to this trail at the end of the road, but worth it. Bathrooms and a large parking area. Hiked up to Twin Lakes, which is actually 3 lakes, maybe 4 if you count the pond as a lake. Pretty easy overall, some elevation gain, nothing a short break here and there can't conquer. Looks like a forest fire was in the area within the last year, but not every tree is burned, kinda patchy where the fire was active. This is a Range area, there are cattle in random places. None seemed aggressive, ususally scared of you. Seen some big cat tracks and possibly some wolf tracks, or someones big dog. Didnt see any wild animals except some birds of prey soaring on the thermals and wind. Nice relaxing adventure. Will come back again sometime.
