Very happy to see one of my favorite sandwich shops back up and running during the pandemic, my daughter and I could hardly finish a Full vandal it was so big!! Give it a go, 5 stars

They use the microwave too much. The roast beef looked good before they nuked it. My soup was microwaved. My au jus was microwaved. The roast beef tasted terrible, very rubbery. The soup wasn’t good. I spent over $15 to throw my lunch in the trash. Maybe their cold sandwiches are good? The best thing was the bag of Ruffles.

Fast, cheap and delicious! My husband suggested we grab a couple sammies before heading out for a day of snowshoeing. I can’t think of a better lunch. Stax, as always, does it it again!nnMy husband bellied up with the Hog (hickory smoked ham with premium Swiss cheese and mayo, topped with romaine lettuce and tomato, $6.59 for regular), and I the Holiday (oven roasted turkey with Stax signature cranberry cream cheese spread topped with romaine lettuce, tomato and sprouts, $6.59 for regular). The sandwiches were phenomenal, although I could have done with the sprouts on the Holiday. The ingredients were super fresh, you could tell the bread was baked that morning. The Hog was pretty much your basic ham and cheese sandwich but made with the highest quality ingredients. I’m intrigued by seasonal and off-the-wall menu items, not to mention I LOVE cream cheese. Aside from the sprouts the sandwich was absolutely fantastic on every level. The cranberry cream cheese and turkey blended like a firework in my mouth. Followed by bites of crispy Ruffles, I can’t tell you how satisfied I was with my lunch. It was too good for words.nnOther highlights include the freaky fast service. Forget Jimmy John’s, this is the lightning fast service I’m talking about! We were third in line to order, but remained in the building less than 10 minutes before we were out the door. Outstanding service and fabulous sandwiches. Highly recommend to anyone!

Stax has the best sandwiches but they have the most horrible hours. The last four times I’ve been to McCall they randomly been closed on days they’re hours say they should be open on google. Super disappointed and they’ve lost my business.

I remember this place as Burger Den and coming through town and seeing it as a good joint again we had to stop and try it. The owner was absolutely amazing and friendly. The place had a home town rustic vibe. The food was some of the best we have ever had. Over all I will be back!!!
