It's a much cleaner place. April and her sister in-law and I have spent the last week cleaning up the big crack up top. We have taken 8 bags of trash from there. We only hope people can stop throwing trash in it. A very special thanks to those who also helped clean up the Dixie Rock. It's a much better experience for all now.

Take a hike! seriously, hike up to the D and take a look at the view. Beautiful!nFun and easy for all ages.nyou can drive up pretty close to the D and then take a short hike up via a well worn trail.nthis is easy to find, essentially, if you can see black hill you can see the D and then you will be able to get up to it via car.
Lots of lava rock
We went at night when it was all lit up! The view was amazing and it was not a very bad hike. I don't recommend bringing young kids, unless you want to carry them down LOL
