Lauren is very friendly and helpful. This was the first time I had met her and she made me feel like me and my wife were old friends. She has a wide selection of high quality yarns to fit just about any project. The drive up the mountain to get there is very pretty as well. Will definitely be back to this store even thou it is a bit of a drive from home.

Great selection of beautiful yarn at good prices. If you can't find something to fit your project here you probably are not looking very hard. Lauren the lady that runs this place is very friendly and helpful. Well worth the drive up the mountain just for this shop. Check this place out you will not be disappointed.

This my absolute favorite yarn store! I drive past several local good ones, but this is the BEST! Lauren is wonderful, very knowledgeable and will help you with all your yarn and knitting needs. Prices are very reasonable, and she has such a wide selection, you’ll find what you need to fit your project and fiber. It’s a little daunting to drive up into Heavenly Resort area for the first time, but the views are spectacular, and well worth the drive! Pay attention to the business hours, they are posted on her website, and she’s very responsive to customers inquiries.

My husband and I were driving from Portland back to the Central Valley and I decided that I wanted to stop at all of the small luxury yarn stores on the way to help support them, and local yarn makers/dyers, during COVID-19.nnThe Knitting Nest was accepting customers by appointment only. Lauren quickly responded to my email and I was able to come in the next day. The store is absolutely adorable. There is a large selection of luxury yarns. I bought a handful of the most absolutely gorgeous hand dyed silk yarns for a comparable price. Lauren was extremely helpful and kind throughout. I will definitely return when the Sierra Nevada Yarn Crawl meets again.
