Great switchbacks not walking straight up and down. Beautiful views
Good trail with many nice areas to take pictures. It was a nice little hike. I went with scouts and it was perfect.
This hill trail is covered with lots of sage and pinyon(of course) and other native brush. The geology is many colors of slate with occasional veins of marble. On my walk I saw a jack rabbit and a few different types of songbird as well as butterflies and other insects. The view of the valley was surprisingly good. All in all a beautiful morning hike
Great place to access the Pine Nuts.
This is a well-maintained trail suitable for all age levels. Trail is shared with hikers, bikers, dogs and horses. In the summer you don't want to do this mid day as there is little shade. You can do the short hike up and back to the loop junction for a little over 2 miles or add the loop for a tad over 5 miles. You get stunning views of the Carson Range and views of the Pinenuts from the loop.
