IF YOU CARE ABOUT YOUR VEHICLE TAKE IT ELSE WHERE COMING FROM A TECHNICIAN!nnHonestly if i would have known service out of the service department is as bad as it is i would have drove to Somerset to the dodge dealer there. Somerset quoted the work cheaper but i guess i fell for convenience. So to start off with i inherited a vehicle that i knew needed work before making a 1000 mile road trip back home (military took me out of state). I knew this as myself having a Chrysler technician number was able to diagnose the issues on a previous trip. I ordered the parts and had them delivered to a family member in the area. I called to schedule the service for the install as this one was the closest. Not having tools in KY and time was not on my side to get the truck back home. So now that there is a little back fill to the story lets get started with the problems.nnSo i had called for a few weeks to get the service scheduled and was told roughly a day and a half which was correct knowing what it would have taken me to do it and book time for it. First red flag should have been it took several phone calls to get it scheduled when it shouldn't have taken more than 2 at the most. Once scheduled i scheduled a flight for then and got the vehicle to them the morning of the appointment. Was told 2 days to get the work done and that they would call if there was any issues. Note you have to sign the service ticket stating what is to be done before work starts on the vehicle stating you agree to the work to be performed well they never had me sign anything which was another red flag.nnSo lets get in to the issues, I knew they would call nothing ever goes as planned. First call was oh you have the wrong parts. So i get in the rental car and go show the technician how it should be installed. Major red flag there but ok maybe they don't do this work often. Next call needed some additional parts ok get it done I'm on a timeline and have to be back to work and have 2 days worth of driving. Call to see if its going to be done the day promised nope be tomorrow morning alright i can live with that. Call the next morning just before lunch to see if its done nope be done before end of the day. So already a full day behind here which honestly happens i get it i really do was just pressed for time. Anyways i go up there an hour before closing they tell me its on the alignment rack and be done shortly. Checking out is the first time i signed anything. Get in the truck take off and notice that the screen on the digital gauges isn't working to monitor the truck while towing (installed by the deceased family member) and look down its unplugged. Alright plug it in and see a broken cord hanging down. Hmm why was it unplugged as none of the work i requested had to do with anything electronic and was purely steering related. By this time it was raining hard and they were closing for the weekend, so i wasn't turning around i had to start the trip home. So i take some pictures and planned to call them to have the issue repaired/ component replaced. After further inspection of the paperwork they had completed a transmission recall on a 9 year old truck that i was never made aware of nor authorized. Plain and simple if a customer comes in with something plugged in to the OBD2 port you don't remove anything without first calling the customer or you just don't do the work period. Will note had to have the alignment redone after getting home as it was way off and a long 1000 mile trip feathered the tires. And last note some of the parts came with install tools which the technician kept that's not standard practice at all.nn3 months later nope they never replaced the part after telling me they would and now today the general manager stated oh you cant prove we did it so were not fixing it. Ok so contacted my local district manager for Chrysler to inform him of the incident, emailed Chrysler corporate, and reported it to the BBB (not even accredited should have looked). Shady work at a shady dealer is what you get if you go here sure their sales are just as bad.
