Chicago Mike's Pizza

Just traveling through to visit family and thought we’d treat them to pizza for dinner. Found this place here on Google Maps and saw it had a 4.7 star rating. To be honest I can’t figure out WHY it’s not a 5 star. The pizza was D E L I C I O U S!!! We got the deep dish style and the thin crust and loved both, but the deep dish was DIVINE! Not only is the food wonderful but the service was GREAT. The girls we had helping at the register were kind and helpful an very friendly. The owner was also very helpful and friendly. All around great experience and wishing they were closer to our home so we could enjoy it more often. Go if you get the chance!

Everything we had was amazing!!! Wings, Mac and cheese bites and a deep dish pizza. The sauce on the pizza was delectable. So very good. Service was impeccable. You can tell that the people there really care.

First things first, I am from Brooklyn so I prefer Brooklyn style pizza over Chicago style, but with the only other pizzerias in the area being big chains, Chicago style it is here in Gardnerville. That said, Mike's is excellent pizza, with a few caveats to my personal taste. If you like alot of sauce then get the normal amount of sauce, and it's just a little thick and sweet for my taste (the sauce), but again, don't get me wrong, Mike's is very good pizza! Good amount of toppings and perfect application of cheese. My personal taste would be lighter and thinner on the sauce and I will order mine that way next time, but one more time, Mike's is very good pizza!

This is the place for pizza AND excellent customer service. All of the Thin crust pizza is fantastic. We tried them all. A big thank you goes out to Gina who is always accommodating to accept our crew of World War II, Korean War and Vietnam War Veterans. Gina, You make these true heroes light up when they are at your place. We will return!!!
