American River Café

I went and had breakfast here one morning( at 3pm) ud83dude09 I was beyond grateful that breakfast was still being served. I found the staff to be genuinely good employees. Everyone had a part in making it a nice experience and they didn't waste any time. My meal was good, the service was good and i will go there to eat again

Most disappointing food we had during our visit in Tahoe. We had calamari for an appetizer, too tough to eat.nWe ordered the daily special ribeye and fried shrimp as our main course. The thin sandwich steak was well done (ordered med-rare) the shrimp were basic heavy breaded very small shrimp.nDo yourself a favor, pass on this one for dinner.nWe heard breakfast was good. We did not go back to see for ourselves.nYou will need to reserve the 2 good restaurants in advance , there are no same day reservations (that's why we had to eat here)

Excellent customer service. Food was yummy. Cleanliness was exceptional. Staff was friendly and attentive. I loved the fact that the Manager walked to every table and check in with customers. To my eyes that was definitely a plus. Keep up the good work.

This might be the best example of mediocrity I've ever experienced. I would describe it as a Denny's with slightly better atmosphere and slightly worse food.nnIn two visits I had the Reuben and French Dip and I can say it was neither bad nor good, probably a notch below what you get at Arby's. It's a perfectly fine place to use comps or discounts if other places are closed, just don't walk in with high expectations.

Amazing experience! The food was all very well seasoned. The staff could of not been nicer. The portions were plentiful. It actually caught me off guard, how nice the entire experience was.will come back.
