Campsites were equipped with Electric outlet and water spout which is very convenient. Restrooms were well lit and clean however due covid-19, showers were unavailable. Nearby campers were very friendly and respectful towards the rules of the camp area. The lake itself was open however we didn't catch anything. We will definitely try again tomorrow. Tonight, we will be sleeping under a Full Moon ud83cudf1d with slight cloud coverage. The park itself was well maintained and clean. We will be returning in the near future for sure ud83dude01ud83eudd18

Stayed here for a couple days in midst of a southwest RV trip. Despite not having sewer hookups, it is an excellent campground.nnYou can drive on the beach down to the lake and use your car as a base of operations for lake fun. Some people even launched boats right from the beach! The lake itself is cool and inviting, and I can only assume it's more so in the dead of summer.nnThe RV spaces are large, flat, and paved, and there's 30 amp electric and water. If it had sewer hookups it would literally be a perfect campground.

Great place to visit! You can definitely see that the water level has dropped. But its still a fun place to visit.nGreat views from over the top of the dam.

This state park just reopened and very few campers were there. Beautiful sites available for RV's and tents. All was clean and well cared for. Seniors with National Park pass get 50% discount. All reservations had to be completed online and there is an $8 fee for this service.

Campground is beautiful and so peaceful. My complaint is with the South Monticello campground host....or lack of really. We booked for 5 nights but ended up leaving early due to being talked to VERY rudely by camp host about our dogs being on a cable while we stepped inside our camper for a couple minutes. I stepped out of the camper, had a spotlight in my eyes and was told to “put our dogs in NOW!” During our stay, we were never greeted or even spoken to by the camp host, which we found quite out of the ordinary considering he was right across the street from our camper. This park is extremely strict on the rules with NO room for error. *Also, website says site #39 is waterfront and it definitely is not. Our site was approximately 600+ yards from any kind of water*
