Would be a wonderful campground if it wasn't for the noisy highway that goes right next to it. Large trucks rolling all night. Other than that there is a nice swimming hole and great little hikes through ancient giant redwoods. Nice roomy campsites. Coin op showers.

I would give this 5 stars, but for two things, VERY close to a busy road AND no gate or keeper after evening. So random folks drive in, park, and use a common area to hang out. Multiple people did this on the only night I was there. One man was a drunk and was harassing kids nearby. Otherwise, nice spots (i had a tent) far enough from each other. Tip - get the river side or you’ll be closer to the noisy road. Showers available for quarters. The kids who work there are very nice and good workers. Firewood available there too. Hiking trails from the grounds.

This place was only bearable because I wore ear plugs. This campground is right off the highway. On one side is the old growth forest and the other is creek and forest. Constant trucks going by all night and day. Even if your near the river it is loud. There are a million other plays to spend $35.

Beautiful place, helpful staff, great swimming holes! There's a lending library, several hiking trails, clean bathrooms, Jr. Ranger programs, which we loved, pay showers ($.25 per minute), and nice size campsites. There are 2 campsites designated for disabled people close to the bathroom which are larger than most sites. It was very helpful with my mobility issues! We camped on the river side which we enjoyed. The campground loops around and the far side butts up against the hwy which I wouldn't care for. You can reserve sites online. Campsites are $35/night. Great place for family fun of all ages!

This is a great swim spot and has plenty of picnic tables in the day use area. There are two horseshoe pits if you enjoy a game of horseshoes.
