Love this trail. Most of the trail is an old road that crosses a number of creeks on the way to the falls. Boulders are usually available for crossing the creeks without getting you feet wet. This trail is lightly used in comparison to other falls trails in the park. Patches of both shade and sun, so be sure to wear a hat. The 2 1/2 miles or so of dirt road to the trail head is easily traversed in most vehicles. Please use caution and remember that you may encounter other vehicles on narrow stretches. Trail length round trip is about 5 3/4 miles. Enjoy visiting during the different seasons for a changing view!

The road to the falls trailhead was closed, so we hike up the road first, about 1.5 miles straight uphill. The hike from the trailhead on was typical for the area, nothing special. Just before you can see the falls you have to cross boulder creek. We saw remnants of a bridge... but we had to take off our boots and go the old fashioned way. The various stages of decomposed granite makes for very uncomfortable footing for bare feet! Once we were across, the whole thing became amazing and so worth it. I will leave out the description of the falls, I'd hate to spoil the ending!

Amazing hiking area when not so hot.
