Lowell was referred to me by a friend when I needed to amend three years of returns that I had screwed up using TurboTax. He’s a great guy who took the time to meet with me and understand my complicated family tax situation with RSU’s, stock options, etc. Because Lowell used to work for the IRS and has a ton of experience, he was able to amend my three returns, help me respond to IRS questions about the amendments, and in the end, got me over $20,000 (with interest!) back from the fed and the state! If you need help with your taxes, hiring Lowell will be the smartest move you can make.

I have happily used Mr. Foster as my CPA for tax preparation services both as a self-employed 1040 small business owner and as a standard W2 employee. In both regards, he has been fantastic. I have always appreciated his fast response time, his flexible schedule, and his willingness to cater to my hectic lifestyle and ever-evolving business needs. He always greets with me a smile and, most importantly, he puts me at ease and gives me piece of mind during tax season. Before I gathered my senses and began using Mr. Foster, I used an online tax preparation service. I know better now. I have received larger refunds (W2) and have owed less (1040) than I did when I prepared my own returns, easily dwarfing the very modest increase in tax preparation fees. I would readily recommend Lowell Foster, CPA to anyone in the North County and beyond.

Lowell is great. He not only took my wife & I on as clients in the middle of the 2012 tax season but worked tirelessly to ensure everything for my business and our personal accounting was accurate. For the 1st time we fully understood exactly what was going on and know any time we have a question about our business or personal finances we can run it past Lowell and know we will get the right answer...not just what we want to hear. That is a good feeling!

Lowell is not only an exceptional CPA he is also a wonderful person. Lowell has been handling my tax returns for several years and I am always amazed at his knowledge and attention to detail. I would highly recommend Lowell to anyone whether you have a simple return to one that is incredibly complex.
