Shady Maple Wildlife Overlook

This is good if you like hot swampy conditions betwixt the highway and the railroad. Great for watching birds of the wetlands.

Nice place to see waterfowl particularly during spring and fall migration. The water is a bit far away due to presence of railroad tracks in front of this overlook. Spotting scope or at the very least binoculars are nice to have. A rare Eurasian Wigeon was seen here early December 2019.

Swans! Lots of swans. And geese. And pelicans. And ducks.

Excellent place for bird watchers. Especially during the migration. In the spring and fall. You will see hundreds of different species and thousands of birds that one location in the wild.
