My husband and I went for a ride to get out of the house and have some seafood out. We wanted to try two other restaurants in Galilee but they were not open so we ended up at George's. Not at all my first choice. My husband ordered fried clams which were excellent. I wish I had ordered them. I ordered the fried flounder with the same breading as the fried scallops. I dislike beer batter breading. It was dry and I had to cut it with a knife. I was disappointed. It is a pretty restaurant with a wonderful view but I have high expectations when spending the money we did. I wouldn't go back. Too many other places offering what we had at a better price point. It was busy. The doorway was jammed as we exited so there was no social distancing. Also when we arrived we were asked to give our name and number which was no problem but others were directed upstairs where we were eventually directed getting tables before we did. They need a better system.

We had a party of 30 and all the food for each table came out in 5 minute increments of all the meals so everyone ate altogether. The food was so fresh and delicious. I had the shrimp scampi. 8 large shrimp with extra thick spaghetti in a garlic butter sauce. The clam cakes and chowder were great too. So they are still great after all these years. Get there before the summer rush !

Food was very good. Calamari was delicious with a good sauce. Fish tacos, chicken sandwich and very generous lobster roll. Interesting drink menu and a lot of great beers. The view is incredible. Our server, Sarah, was excellent. Can’t wait to come back when it’s warm enough to sit outside.
