Very nice spot on right on the western mouth of Narragansett Bay. The ocean is open and can be rough.nnThis is more of a scenic spot than a recreational one. From the top of the menorial you get a breathtaking, unobstructed view of the Point Judith Lighthouse.nnThere's lots of parking but the gravel road in a very bumpy ride (2021). There's a jetty that is easily walkable with a small sandy beach adjacent to it.
Great place for families to go. Lats of room for picnics or kite flying, etc.

This is just such a beautiful spot. Summer or winter, just wonderful!
Absolutely beautiful, monumental site. Very sobering honor to the brave men lost at sea.
