I regret trying to do my taxes with H&R block. TL,DR I paid them a lot of money so that I could essentially do my taxes myself. I will be doing them myself in the future, it is less stressful.nnThe preparer did not understand the online system, and was unable to give instructions about how to send documents to her via the system. She did not respond to messages sent through the system either. She needed multiple calls to be reminded to look at my taxes. She apparently did not take notes when I explained which jobs were taxable in which state either. Nor did she remember that I never received one of my stimulus checks. I had to redo significant portions of multiple state returns, and will need to file an amended return to get my stimulus check (that is partially on me for not noticing before I signed, however we talked about it multiple times). I strongly discourage anyone from working with this office if you have digital documents.

My mom is an easy s-tier tax preparer. 100% easily the most knowledgeable professional in the game. If you need tax problems and you do not call Carol Vetter first, you're making a fool of yourself.

Have used them in the past and they were ok but this year was horrible and the worse service I've ever experienced. They are offering only drop off tax preparation due to COVID, this part I understand and won't fault them. They do not however mention this at any point until you are in person at the door. When I booked the appointment online they gave me the option for drop off and in person, I choose the in person as that was my personal preference. If they didn't intend on offering it why have it as an option to begin with. Also when I mentioned who my advisor I scheduled am appointment with was they said that the appointment is not actually with that person but next available. The office overall was unprofessional, disorganized and lacked common courtesy. I definitely won't be returning.
