It was our first time here...the food was excellent and the staff is extremely friendly. Based off of this we will definitely be back! We can't wait for the weather to get better so that we can sit outside.

Very enjoyable experience. They were able to accommodate me for Sunday brunch even without a reservation. Music was excellent and will definitely be back for the food. I can only assume the experience will be that much better when the warmer months come.

I have been to the Blue Anchor Grill quite a few times over the last few months. The food is excellent and the service has always been wonderful and considerate every time. Steak Frites and the Burgers/Tacos were awesome!nnIt is a great place to hang out and spend time with friends and family! Excellent patio and a good interior space. The interior renovations are great! It’s a beautiful place compared to the past restaurants that occupied the space. I’ll recommend Blue Anchor to all of my Family and friends. It’s certainly my favorite restaurant in Portsmouth.

Brand new establishment. Spacious for Covid. Beautifully decorated, chairs near the fireplace. Fantastic beer & liquor menus plus a great food menu. Beer Flights are 4 cans of your choice of beers... cans can go home unopened if you can’t finish. Really nice staff. Check this place out - support great local businesses...

Don't waste your time until they are fully open. Call themselves a beer garden but no draft and can't order a drink. What does that mean? Ordered a Captain and Coke and was told no, only can order from their drink menu. Drink menu not only is very limited but no diet drinks. So for someone with diabetes, there are no options, complete discrimination. But don't worry, gluten free is available, which won't kill someone who is gluten free and has gluten but someone with diabetes who cannot have sugar, oh well.
