Well, our dogs are alive. We have really love taking our dogs here in the past and I've referred a lot of friends. Unfortunately, their quality of car has decelerated. After our last visit, August 2020, we will not be returning.
Our senior pom, with a lot of age related special needs, was in with the small dogs instead of the Senior Lounge. We could not get an answer when we tried to call and have this corrected. He also came back with an injured chin and very noticeable dry blood on his chest fur. All three of our dogs stayed, current on all shots, but our senior dog came back with kennel cough. It is still going strong on its third week.
All of the dogs were in the kennels all but one time while checking the cameras, which was never an issue in the past.
This was really disappointing. I've loved them historically for their different rooms for different dog needs, web cams, friendly staff, vet and groomer on site. I'm guessing they changed owners or are really under staffed for this big of a change to occur.
Very friendly and helpful staff. Inexpensive professional grooming. Also great veterinarian
Pros:
-Affordable! $30 a day for boarding is an excellent price.
-Dog is safe. My dog has never come home sick or injured.
-Connected to vets office - gives me peace of mind! I really like Dr. Pam, she is why we send our dog to Utah Dog Park.
Cons:
-Don't expect to receive any individual feedback about how your dog did during their stay. Very different than other franchises where they give you personalized feedback about how your pup did when you pick them up after a lengthy stay. For example: I want to know if my dog ate well and played nicely with the other dogs.
-There is zero play equipment for the small dogs. It's just a large room. Seems like a very non-stimulating environment. Again, other franchises have equipment and toys for the dogs! Our old place in Michigan was small and family-owned, yet clearly invested in making an amazing play space for the dogs.
-VERY few humans walking around in small dog room. I checked online many times and saw only one employee in with the dogs only a few times. I would check inside and outside small dog areas and not see a single employee.
I would love if Utah Dog Park took this feedback and made some changes! I hope this is viewed as constructive.
Such loving staff. One even went far enough to drop off my dog at my house because I was stuck at work.
Love this dog park, they treat my little boy like the special prince he is. They have amazing grooming and awesome drop off services, also in the same building is a great vet! All in one service for whatever you need.
