Found inside or Pioneer Park I think this is good sized dog park for the location in the heart of Salt Lake City. There is water. It is fully fenced and well maintained. Parking is 2 hours free along the road. I believe this park gets a bad rap due to societal issues.
Lots of cool people and puppies. Sometimes you'll just find unsightly stuff in the park. To be expected.
Visited in the afternoon, thinking it would be busy. Instead, the surrounding park is filled with homeless people and trash on the ground. The dog park itself is small and just mulch. Didn’t even go in.
Thick mulch surface not good for a dog park. Water shut off. Homeless everywhere. Only good if you are looking to exercise your dog and score heroine in one outing.
Sketchy people around, no other dogs, tons of trash all over, and I found multiple empty vodka bottles strewn around the dog park. On top of all that, the water fountain didn't work, and there were no dog bags left... Keep it classy, Salt Lake.
