Cherry Valley Marketplace

I'd written a review for this place once before, but it seems to have disappeared. So here is my second attempt.nnI found this place to be very interesting in that it has an incredibly wide selection of just about anything you could possibly want, even higher-end products that I have been unable to find here in the Bronx until now. That was a pleasant surprise.nnBut only the selection is wide. Not the aisles, by any stretch of the imagination. Manoeuvring about was a nightmare, and I almost gave up twice. I'm glad I didn't ultimately because I found some really great deals. The prices on many items are more competitive than other places, whilst other items can be obtained for less someplace else. It's just a matter of doing one's research and taking the time.nnI loved the fresh bread and pastries, as well as their seafood counter. I was rather pleasantly surprised as well to find that they sell real crabmeat and even fresh sushi!nnThe line is incredibly long, but this is not as daunting as it might at first appear. It feeds into numerous registers and the staff are super quick and efficient so that you get through the line surprisingly more quickly than in most other places I've visited here in the Bronx.nnFor drivers, there is ample parking. For pedestrians, the bus stop is right in front of the store, which is marvellously convenient, as that is my preferred mode of transport. I work and play in Manhattan so can hardly see the point to owning a car.nnThe staff behind the counters are extremely helpful and knowledgeable. The floor staff, who are usually busy stocking or whatever else it is that they do, are not overly solicitous and I believe some probably see the customers as merely a nuisance. But they are friendly if you address them and helpful if you ask them for it. So that's something.nnMy one and only concern would be the prices on their meat and poultry items, which are far from competitive with other Bronx prices that I've encountered. I felt as though I were shopping in Manhattan again. The upside of that, however, is that it is all of such high quality that it makes the extra money worth spending.nnIn conclusion, I believe that I will be making this place one of my regular shopping destinations. It's definitely worth the minor inconveniences and the somewhat higher prices. Particularly when juxtaposed against the numerous sale priced items on offer.

Update: their produces are much more fresher than earlier days. They’ve definitely improved. Would still like to see some kind of membership cards for discounts. I still frequent at least once a week.nnOld review: Very conveniently placed Supermarket. But my qualms with this place is that often times their stuff has expired. I’ve seen expired milk on the shelves. And some vegetables are near wilting. Or they go bad after purchasing them a day later. I enjoy shopping here once a week and would love to see it improved. I also hope they’ll have membership cards for discounts and rewards soon.

24 Hours, baby!!!!

Well stocked ample variety. They have food items and products for the latin community. Also I noticed Jamaican food stuff drinks Irish Moss D&G sodas. Plantains, Mackerel, Milo the list goes on . All American food Items, hot buffet ud83dude0b. It seems they researched the area well and which citizens live there. Every Sunday begins a new week of sales. 24 hours Open can't ask for anything more. The company is on its way. Thumbs up ud83dudc4d!!

The prices are good and the place is very clean.
