Had a lot of fun camping there with my son. Clean facilities. Very happy and will be doing it again.

Nice clean campground a mile or two from Chimney Bluffs state park, in a beautiful rural farmland setting. Lots of orchards and vineyards surrounding. The campground is family friendly with a pool and country store. There’s a bathhouse with showers and also a small laundromat.nnI stayed in one of the cabins with my dog; it’s a rustic set up with a basic kitchenette and bathroom, and a full bed with two adjacent bunk beds. Cathedral ceiling and big sliding windows, very cute. You need to bring everything you would bring if you were staying in a tent - dishes, utensils, hand soap/dish soap, paper towels, bed linens, pillows, toiletries, etc. The kitchenette has a coffee maker, toaster, and microwave.nnThe cabin was EXTREMELY hot and stuffy but I arrived in the middle of a heat wave with temps in the high 90s; I only say this for others who might be traveling there in the summer - be prepared and bring a window fan. There is no AC in the cabins but they do provide a box fan and there are ceiling fans. I had brought my own box fan from home in anticipation of the heat, so with both of the fans on high, it was okay. Cabin cooled down enough at night to sleep well.nnThere’s a fire pit and a grill out front of each cabin, and the screened in porch was huge - nice spot to sit to get away from the bugs at night. It was very quiet in the campground and the proximity to Lake Ontario with its hiking trails and little beach was a big plus. Really really peaceful area and overall lovely experience.nnOnly two negatives were 1.) someone stole the bundle of firewood I left next to my firepit while I was out hiking with my dog (not the campground’s fault, just annoying), and 2.) on my last day there I was finishing up putting my things in the car and one of the campground employees knocked on the cabin door and said “you know check out is at noon right??” It was 11:50 am. I said “yes....I’m putting my bags in the car as we speak, and it’s not noon yet.” He was very rude and stayed in the yard in front of the cabin while I packed my car, talking about how another employee needed to come and clean the cabin, etc until I turned around and said, “it’s not noon yet, and it takes five minutes to put my bags in the car.” It did indeed take five minutes and I was checked out by noon. If you want your customers to check out before noon, then change the checkout time to 11 or 11:30. Don’t come knock on the door and rush me out at 11:50. Super rude. The employee who came to do the cleaning was apologetic.nnAll the other staff I encountered there were pleasant and friendly, gave me good info about hiking around Chimney Bluffs, and were overall nice to talk to. Again, the campground was well maintained and quiet. The cabin was super cute. The location couldn’t be better. I recommend it.

Responsible and respectful owners and staff. Beautiful sites and wood carvings. The store was amazing and by far the best camp store in the area, selling local goods, ice cream and beer. We can't wait to go back!

Visited relatives who were camping. Friendly, but one office employee covered only her mouth with her mask. Sites very close together except in the back section, which were nice. Lots of activities. Nice store.

Very nice campground. Geared more toward the social camper but they have some nice isolated sites in the back. Facilities are well maintained and the store is what you would expect for a camp store. Staff is friendly and helpful. Nearby are kayaking and hiking opportunities. Chimney Bluffs State Park is just down the road and a neat place to check out. Doing the loop hike runs a little under 3 miles. Road biking is a definite possibility with fairly flat roads and medium to low traffic but many roads are 55. There is quite a bit of poison ivy both in the area and in the campground so beware. Mosquitos weren't too bad considering it was upper 70s and fairly humid. All in all a nice place to stay. Pictures are of Chimney Bluffs and Sodus Bay area.
