I paid in advance for a service. And unfortunately that business is closed due to this pandemic. They keep pushing out the open date month by month. I submitted a dispute to get this resolved. I sent them proof of purchase. And because the receipt says no refunds. Cyprus refuses to refund me my money. People pay in advance for services and obviously we can't tell the future on what's going to happen. Now I'm out $450+. The bank should be able to resolve this situation in these circumstances. Now the business isn't answering my calls. Cyrus is no help. I submitted a complaint with the BBB. Because what kind of bank refuses to refund you, when you aren't getting what you paid for. Ridiculous.
Spoke with a Garrett (I think) on the phone. I needed to make a DEPOSIT (only $150) into a Cyprus account. Since my name wasn't on the account there would be a TEN, YES.... $10 charge for that deposit. And they wouldn't take my account information, it had to be from a credit or debit card. Shame on you. Completely ridiculous. This is the reason I don't have a Cyprus account!!!
I had $15000 taken from my account from a fraudulent wire transfer. Cyprus did nothing to help and when asked for information they refused. It took me going to National Credit Union Association for help. I was able to get some of the money back but no thanks to Cyprus. Your money is not safe with Cyprus.
I very much dislike having to sign in to get a card. I will probably switch banks just because of this. Literally every teller was available and they made me sign in just to wall right back over. They could have literally just spoken to me and asked wtf I wanted. I'm switching.
Everybody's always friendly and always can get in and out.
