Dr. Jason Priset is an extremely proficient, thoughtful, and patient guitar teacher, as well as a very talented and accomplished musician. He taught my son for several years. When we first hired Jason, my son had an upcoming performance that he was insecure about. Jason worked with him and helped prepare the piece so not only did he play it technically, but also with dynamics that made the performance more entertaining for the audience. He moved on to more complicated pieces and prepared him for NYSSMA where he scored very high grades. He is definitely an excellent guitar teacher and I recommend him highly.

Dr. Jason Priset is a highly qualified and accomplished instructor. He is personable, easy to work with and above all, an effective teacher.nnWhen I first contacted Dr. Priset to inquire about lessons for my son, I was apprehensive because I didn't know anything about music. Dr. Priset educated me about the field, his teaching strategy, and my son's age-based needs. He suggested shorter lessons (my son was 5 at the time) and a ukelele instead of a (larger) guitar. This professional insight was very valuable in making sure that my son was receiving the appropriate instruction.nnFor me, the most distinctive plus regarding Dr.Priset is that he is trained and experienced in teaching music. I didn't want just some musician who gave lessons on the side to teach my son. Dr. Priset is a wonderful music teacher and I am very happy with how far my son has come since he started working with Dr. Priset.
