Firefighter's Memorial Park

I take the dogs there for a walk. Most owners clean up after their dogs and they keep the park very clean. Upkeep on cutting the grass is top notch. Water fountain is wet and flowing. Very nice place to relax....maybe eat a lunch on one of the picnic tables.

It's a great place for a restful pitstop. It's close to the criminal courthouse so every now and then someone with less than a human regard for common decency will make their way to the park. Overall it's not a park for playing baseball, it's a park for quiet reflection and a brief urban getaway to sit on a well maintained bench and eat your lunch perhaps. If you want to say something romantic to someone for the first time, it definitely has that aura to it. It also has a few photo friendly landmarks throughout. Not bad for a relatively tiny park space.

Very peaceful place to take a lunch break or just want to get some time with mother nature. Landscaping is very appealing and when coupled with the fountain makes for a nice relaxing environment. Plenty of choices for seating with multiple bench on the inner perimeter of the park and benchs surrounding the fountain. Plus Firefighters Memorial Park offers an opportunity to acquire information about Fire Department men that lost their lives. Overall its a nice peace of serenity in a busy downtown area.
