This place is a scam. The owner doesn't respond to emails or phone calls so you just keep getting charged and then they send your balance to collections. It's ridiculous I've never had to deal with an unprofessional establishment like this. DO NOT sign up for this gym it'll be the worst decision you ever make.

Workouts were great, staff did a good job. The owner/manager is very unprofessional and does not care about the clientele. After appealing to the customer base at the beginning of the state mandated shutdowns to continue paying monthly fees, the owner/manager refused to communicate and went into hiding. He should be ashamed of himself as a small business owner and member of the community.

Edit: It seems a lot of other people have had the same problems I have. I am reporting this gym to the Better Business Bureau and I suggest everyone else that has this issue do the same.nnI have sent out four, FOUR, emails to the owner of the gym and have contacted corporate about my yearly membership to see if I could either get money back for when it was closed or a membership extensions, but I have got nothing but radio silence for MONTHS! This pandemic has been tough on EVERYONE, not just this gym. At least have the professionalism to respond to an email.

Great workout but I have spent 3 months trying to cancel my membership. It's very disappointing that I have sent 3 emails and I am still being billed. No phone call, one email response 2 months ago promised to cancel the membership. Especially disappointed because I had originally planned to only do 2 or 3 months, but then COVID hit, and I decided to support a small business owner and keep a membership I wasn't using, for an extra 2 months.

I had a dispute regarding my membership dues. Today, I got to know that my account has been placed in collections for non-payment of dues which I never got notified for. Local gym at South Plainfield is not replying to my emails or phones. No communication from either from the local gym or corporate communications as to why my account was auto renewed or placed in collections. Corporate doesn't entertain membership issues as per their contact page. I emailed multiple times to the local gym about cancellation as nobody was picking up the phone. As a local business supporter, I paid off my due for remaining months during COVID, just to be fair as part of my initial 6 months contract.nnToday, I was made aware by the collection agency that my membership has automatically renewed despite my repeated emails and calls to local gym. This behavior is downright fraudulent, deceptive and constitutes harassment of honest hardworking members during these tough times..nnHow is a member supposed to come in and cancel his membership in person when the gym is closed for months during pandemic? Why there is no communication on email or phone even once about auto renewal during time of pandemic about membership issues? Why was the account placed on collections without notifying even once ? Is this the new business practice during COVID to stay financially secure?nnMany people or members are stressed out financially due to job loss/ health issues and we have such behavior fleecing hard earned money thru' auto renewal and collection agent tactics during this pandemic. The collection agency is waiting to spoil credit history which will affect my hard earned credit score too.nnPandemic has made honesty and being fair a rare value.
