Van Saun County Park

Hardly anyone was wearing masks, so didn't stay as long as we normally did.

This is such a fun place to take kids! There are lots of animals to see at the zoo and there is a carousel, train ride, and playground. Unfortunately, the train ride and carousel are still closed, but I can't wait to go back in a week or two when they are running again. The best part is that the zoo is free! Highly recommend!

In general, I love Van Saun Park... A quick and easy small county zoo... Fun and extensive playground for the kids... Great picnic spot... Carousel... Pony rides... Etc... But they also do really nice job of setting up a sledding area... It's not perfectly safe or contained & there is no onsite safety monitor... But it is free and hay bales/ fencing keeps kids from hitting trees or sliding into the road... Stay safe & have fun!

Great little zoo. Not as many exhibits open during winter, but my daughter loved seeing the animals that were there. Will be back when its warmer to ride the trainud83dude00
