Willow Creek Recreation Area

It's a very scenic little wooded area nestled in a residential area. Nice little getaway for a walk during lunch or after dinner. Sometimes I go there for a night hike. During the day when I see people I wish they were friendlier. There seemed to be a lot of cold people who are not interested in meeting their neighbors around here and I don't know why.

Nice facility. Fishing was very slow. Decent ice as of today.

It is not mentioned on the park's website that showers are 75 cents which is absolutely ridiculous... Only one bathroom with running water, and even though the website says there is swimming, the beach was closed due to high toxic algae levels. (Of which there was no mention on the website, would have been GREAT to know ahead of time!)nnDon't waste your time driving out here if you're looking to enjoy normal camping activities. If you wanna sit around, do nothing, and take naps, this may work out, otherwise I would go elsewhere.

Relaxing weekend. Putting it on the list for places to return. Park ranger was checking fish quality. Not a bad catch! He was very friendly and knowledgeable.

Peaceful just didn't like the fact we couldn't get into the water cause of blue algae
