An unbelievable oasis for birds and plants along the chain lakes. Thank you to the many volunteers who do wonderful work in the Gardens and Bird Sanctuary. An especially good slice of land to check during bird migration for songbirds, especially warblers. Even if you're not into birding, come for all the wonderful nearby gardens and then take a walk through the sanctuary and watch and listen!nNote, the entrance is through an unlocked metal gate on either the east or west end. I was very very confused the first time I came.

I love stopping by the Thomas Sadler bird sanctuary when I'm out running near the the lakes that border it. The sanctuary is calm and tranquil and very rarely with much traffic. This sanctuary is almost always good for a great view or photo as well as a wonderful spot for a walk or to think.

This is a great place to relax and listen to birds.

The path is collapsed into a marsh area so you can't go far. Didn't have much luck with seeing any birds as well. Has the opportunity to be cool but as of May '19 I would not recommend until they have fixed the path.

Perfect little get away, just minutes from Downtown, a variety of shaded trails , shelters and viewing locations to escape the hustle and bustle and spy with your keen eyes and ears the beauty of nature. A large variety of wildlife finds shelter here, dear, turkey, possum, owls, and a fox to name a few. Each trip I spot something new! Only a block away from beach rose gardens, restrooms, and parking
