Great hidden gem right in the city. Nicely maintained trails and a Nature center building.nCan't wait to return when everything is green & flowers are in bloom.

I always love going for a walk around the lake. Summer, autumn, winter, or fall, it is beautiful, refreshing and relaxing to journey the short distance from busy life to outdoor wonder. Great trails, great sights!

Beautiful nature preserve in the middle of SLP! Maintained trails, and facilities / restrooms in a beautiful new public building.

The new nature center is really wonderful! Large and roomy, loads of green ingenuity in the structure, lovely sitting areas. Can't wait for programs to start back up! The trails are beautiful as always. Early morning and dusk hikes give you great opportunities to see lots of wildlife. (Deer, woodpeckers (even piliated), geese, ducks, voles, eagles, hawks, etc!). 4 legged friends are not allowed, but bring your 2 legged crew with for a great hike around the lake and through the wood trails.

One of my all-time favorite nature centers in the Twin Cities metro. The apiary is so fun to view and I learned a ton from the beekeeper this summer. I always see lots of wildlife and even spotted a hawk swooping down to scoop up a mouse on my last hike there this week.
