Campground and scenery were amazing. Check in girl(s) were very friendly and nice. Overall had a very nice time. However I was bummed to find the beach closed once I arrived but I had been told a few times that it was open. Also a major buzz kill to the trip was an elderly couple, primarily the woman, who was constantly on our case about the parking arrangement and wood gathering. We had a couple unexpected vehicles and were nothing but cooperative when it came to maneuvering vehicles to keep the engines over the gravel. They continued to hound us and made us feel as if we were being targeted or picked on, mainly myself. When I think of good customer service, acting like a bully does not come to mind. Whether or not they were the owners, we were consistently asked to moved them even though many of us had already indulged in some adult beverages. Not okay for anyone to drive at that point. It felt like a trap. So if you visit this campsite and want to have a good time, watch out for this lady, she seemed like a real piece of work. But we shall return because we'll know not to let her ruin our fun ☺

I have been going for years to this camp ground. It's a nice little getaway if you live in the cities. Fishing spots all over, a few bait shops in the area. Customer service has always been pleasant in the town. The little area for the camping spots are just right. They have a lake that is walking distance from the camp grounds, they even have a shower building, group camping, and RV camping as well. A nice little gem of a campground to escape to, even for just a day/night. Note: most places require masks.

Great weekender campground. They have water and power spaces for campers and rustic spaces for tent camping, great fire rings with built in grilles. Very reasonable prices, vehicle permit camping and firewood came to about 32 a night. very close to the metro area but off the beaten path enough for that wilderness feel. Tons of bike paths, bring your bike to get the most of the places. Real nice showers and multiple playgrounds for entertaining the kiddos and cleaning up. Showers do not cost anything more just need to take turns when busy. We never had to wait though. Beach is excellent lake is clean and there is a boat ramp. Bring your water toys. Trust me being a native of the twin cities, you can drive farther and do worse.

Great sites for tent camping. Grassy, wooded, clean and spacious. Playgrounds for the kids and friendly staff.
