I really dislike giving negative reviews but in all fairness to anyone looking to buy a car, I feel I have to in good faith warn people to run in the opposite direction of this place.nThe owner Kevin seems to be a nice enough guy and while I don't think he acted with any bad intent, he is not knowledgeable enough to be doing what he is doing.nI bought a car from him about a year and a half ago. He touted the car as having had all this work done and was in great shape and shouldn't need any work for a while. For my own share in the blame game, I trusted him.nJust a stray observation before I get into the goods - the car was not in the condition it should have been when it left the lot and came into my possession - there was popcorn in the back seat, the car smelled of smoke from the place he used to service the car, and it just wasn't generally clean and sparkling like it should be given that I paid a dealer price tag for the car.nImmediately after I got the car home, problems started. I had lights flashing up on the dash and the car wasn't running well so I took it into a shop and they were astounded said it was dangerous to drive because the engine was not actually installed properly (bolted down) so at Kevin's recommendation I took it to the shop where he had it worked on before I bought it. I actually had to have it TOWED there - that's how dangerous it was. They told me there was only one way to install a turbo engine and that it was fine but on a later visit they realized they had not in fact bolted the engine in place so they did that but I continued having problems so brought that car back to that same place probably 4 or 5 times - they kept doing the same thing expecting a different result but still had problems. Finally, took it to a VW dealer and they said that a hold had been put in the turbo when it was bolted down and on top of that, there was an issue with the AC system. The cherry on top of that $3500 cake was that the warranty that I bought from Kevin that he assured me the president was a Christian man and no one had reported problems refused to pay for work that is explicitly covered in the warranty.nNow, I just found out that the work on the brakes that Kevin said had been done was also for *$#&. They merely replaced the brake pads and did nothing with the rest of the brakes (rotors, etc.) that as I was told should always be done when the brakes are being done. So now, the brake pads that still have plenty of life need to be replaced along with rotors and a bunch of other stuff for another $1800 - oh and the engine is misfiring on all cylinders so who knows what shoddy work is responsible for that and how much more that's going to add to my bill.nIn any communication I have had with Kevin since buying the car, he has not been helpful. While I understand that you buy the car as is, he admitted that he found out that the work being done by the place he was taking the cars was not up to par and switched after I bought my car - yet, there was no warning to me and no offer to try to do anything to fix all the problems that I have had to deal with and pay for. He did tell me where he now sends his cars and told me I could ask them to use his dealer rates - as if I would trust his recommendation - please.nVery long winded and somewhat ranting so my apologies - but in all seriousness, buy a car from someone who is knowledgeable, who knows how to service the cars or takes them somewhere reputable to be serviced, and will stand behind you and the product they sell if it doesn't meet the standards they set forth.
