Very peaceful..love it here.
Kids love to fish here.
Neighborhood park ideal to explore nature and fish. I take my toddler there to feed the ducks. He loves it. This no restroom but it has a parking. Peaceful and quiet place.
23 years ago when i was 14 years old my friends and i built some BMX jumps in this park. We all laughed and joked and became friends as we worked on our precious mounds of dirt. We caught frogs in the pond and were always home before dark . The jumps were eventually plowed by the city and my friends and i slowly drifted apart as the years passed. However, I did meet one of my best friends riding these now nonexistent jumps and he tragically killed himself a few years ago.
i think about him everyday and the bonds of boyhood that were built in these tall weeds and how no one will ever know what the insignificance of everyday places may mean to someone .
I miss him.
Hug and hold the ones you love
The park is beautiful. There are two ponds, one of which is stocked every two weeks. Ducks, geese, cormorant, and pelican plus many smaller birds, like red-winged black bird, swallows, robins, and various others. The city of Draper is making intense effort to remove invasive species and restore the native plants and environments. This place was a peaceful walk, even with other people around.
