Aka. Birdhouse trail. Loved it. A little disappointed the north side ended at the deteriorated Bridge across the river.
Nice trail along St. Joseph River.
It is a piece of history because our city was made around the St. Joe River. We used to have a crew called the River Rats when I was a kid. We would help clean up the parks around the river, was pretty fun and we got rewards for it. We have riverfest and people get to sell things or you could send ducks down the river to race. Being able to see it on a trail is even better.nnThere are spots to sit down. You might want to bring a cane or walking cane because it is worth just walking slow. Also you never know who you will meet. It isn't as good as Hillsdale's trail, but it tries to be good in it's own special way.nnAlso see if you can find the heart. It is an easter egg I think... I gave you a hint in the pictures I uploaded. One of them is near the heart. I wanted to know why it is really there... but for now I just believe it is the heart of Jonesville.
The birdhouses are neat!
Short trail but very nice. Quiet, peaceful, and decorated with the most awesome bird houses you will ever see! These were great. And the trail connects to other trails, so you can keep going on over to Hillsdale if you like. Returned after a bit of snow fell, and it's even a nice hike in winter.
