Really nice beach but too expensive to park there
Really great park. It has access to full bathroom and showers. It also is adjacent to a beautiful light house that you can walk around. This area is very family friendly and there is food that can be bought though it is a bit pricy. You also have access to downtown st. Joseph to do some shopping or getting some lunch or dinner. Great place for an afternoon!
Mid March 2021 visit. Lovely beach...relaxing, breezy, perfect place to unwind. Great place to walk along the shoreline or along the pier to the lighthouse. Couple of playgrounds, benches, basketball hoops and a restroom. Needs raked of small bits of trash and debris from winter but I found shells and driftwood for my art!
The park is beautiful, especially in summer. I noticed that the sidewalk was recently cleared of sand, thank you. It wasn't busy because it's April, I'm a Lighthouse seeker, and some others were there, also. The sand is so soft on Lake Michigan, some beaches on the sunrise side have different sand, not as nice.
Clean lake and beach!
