Forte Coffee is a fantastic place to get well-made coffee drinks, and some light cafe fare. The employees are service oriented, and always make you feel welcome. The owner has done a great job of putting the focus on quality, affordability, and service. All the baked goods are made in house with the exception of the donuts which are made at Red Coach Donuts in Stevensville. The beans are roasted in-house as well, and are available for purchase for at-home brewing. If you're in the area and looking for a good place to have some coffee and conversation, this is an excellent stop.

I Love this coffee shop! So happy that they are opening a new spot in downtown St Joseph! They roast on site and I am hooked on the dark chocolate and peanut butter iced latte! Give it a try!

Great place to get a coffee. Local, roasted in house, homemade baked goods. Stopped by with my brother while we were in the area. Both of us thought it was superb! They had tons of flavor choices and the coffee had a smooth taste! The owner was super friendly and we had a great conversation with him while we waited for our coffee. When I am back in the area, I will be going back.

Staff is always so friendly here. Pre pandemic this was my go to place to sit and get work done - great atmosphere and all the amazing smells especially on roasting days! Forte got me hooked on matcha lattes! They are helpful at offering suggestions and finding you the perfect drink! Can’t wait to be able to “dine in” again!!

Stopped in yesterday and had a nice chat with the owner - very friendly and inviting. Everything is roasted in house and is solidly done to third wave standards. I got a cold brew which was delightfully chocolaty with just the right tinge of dark berry bitterness and acidity. I bought two bags of beans and am drinking the Ethiopia Yirgacheffe as I write this review. The Yirgacheffe is quite excellent - bright and full bodied hitting all the right notes. We also had a scone and a pumpkin muffin (also made in-house) and both were very good. If you're in the St. Joe area, do yourself a favor and stop in to Forte.
