This used to be my favorite restaurant in town until it changed ownership recently. The re-model doesn’t have the New Mexico vibe anymore. My first clue about how bad it was should have been the fact that we went in on a Saturday night around 6pm and it was pretty dead. The place used to always be packed and very popular. The food is what really threw me. The menu hasn’t changed much from what it used to be, but everything is of terrible quality now. The pasta is no longer handmade, the bread is very bland and no longer complimentary, the marinara was bland, the meatballs were tiny and slimy, the Alfredo sauce was gritty. If you went to this restaurant prior to it changing ownership, I would recommend staying away. You’ll only be disappointed. If you’ve never been then you’re likely just in for some sub-par Italian food. I also think it’s shady that the new owners are profiting off the good reviews left for the previous owners. They’re obviously more interested in making money than in saving the integrity of a beloved restaurant.

Great service! Love the remodel! More appropriate for the direction that our downtown region is headed! Food is still amazing! Alfredo is on point. Ravioli was perfect. Great beer and wine selection!

I'm putting this place in my top five pizza joints ever all time... Tried 3 different pizzas with the family and their was nothing left to take home. Mint

What more can you ask for? Friendly and fast service and fabulous food! We loved the bread and garlic oil and The Las Cruces pizza. The thin, crispy crust is fantastic! Can't wait to eat the leftovers in the car on the way home to Albuquerque!

This was my first time dining here and I have to say that it was delicious. The pesto on the caprese salad was outstanding, adding a drop or two of balsamic vinegar gave it the perfect balance. The bread and roasted garlic almost made the meal complete. You can't go to a pizza joint and not order pizza, right? The Pistol Pete was baked to perfection though I feel like the chef skimped on the toppings a bit. Service was prompt and friendly. So why only 4 stars, you ask? Well, a glass of wine would have earned them the 5th star, but for some reason they do not serve beer and wine. Hopefully that will have changed by the time I go back for a second visit.
