I have just come back to the y after a year of not going nothing has changed and it is still my favorite place to go after a full year of being away thank you so much for continuing to be a place that helps me each and every day to be better than the last.

My husband and I have been traveling the US and utilizing our wonderful Nationwide Membership. We have been in Bangor much longer than anticipated, and I couldn't be happier with the Bangor Y! The front desk staff are extremely kind, the equipment is always sparkling, and I've been loving the fitness classes (especially led by Jen and Tom!)

Wouldnt even give a star but i have to. This place really got on my bad side. The consistant plowing hours between 130 and 3 am when people are trying to sleep for work and kids are trying to sleep for school. I tried to fix the issue but they were less then willing to compromise because oh well we open at 5 am. But if it stops snowing at 7 pm then there is no need to plow at 2 am. There are other earlier hours for plowing. One night they even did it when it didnt even snow that day or night. Im sick of my autistic son being woken up from it. They are rude on the phone and dont like to fix issues and even say they cant promise to fix it. According to the city it doesnt violate any codes.. But what about quiet hours in the city.

Definitely a family of members! Friendly, clean and has an excellent facility with a wide variety of options to achieve your full health fitness goals!

I had just gotten off a long plane ride and found myself with two hours to hang out before getting picked up by some friends. I went to this YMCA location with the hopes of finding a place to put my three pieces of luggage and get in a workout. The staff was so kind and immediately they offered to put my suitcase in an office. The facilities were great! The weight room area had tons of fun equipment like ropes, agility ladders, medicine balls, and lots of free weights. There was also a sauna in the locker room. Highly recommend!
