Finding authentic ‘exotic’ fare in Maine is nearly impossible so Desi kitchen is the fail-safe standard for those of us who are well-acquainted with Indian/Pakistani cuisine. The garlic naan is as exquisite as any I’ve had overseas and their curries, Palak and Karahi are to die for.nWhere they lack, if nominally, is in their hospitality and portion sizes (they serve maybe 6 small nuggets of chicken per meal- though I’ve never been hungry after)... Having said that, it’s a small price to pay to have a taste of Mumbai in 30-45 minutes, particularly when one doesn’t feel like dragging out the green cardamom and plethora of spices.
Finally an absolutely fantastic Indian food place in kennebec county!nThe food was made fresh oh, the naan is absolutely delicious, the butter chicken was beyond compare oh, and the veggie samosa was a delight.nI am so happy we stopped and we will be back!

A hidden gem in Hallowell, ME. This tiny place serves traditional Pakistani dishes EI to big flavor! Had Lamb Palak this visit. Definitely a “go back again” kind of place!
