Dead River Co

I have used Dead River Company many years for plumbing, heating, and any repairs needed and have always been pleased with the results. One of their services we have always utilized over the years is having them drain the water pipes in the house prior to our traveling South for the Winter as we are retired. For many years Dead River had an in-house staff member who specialized in Winterizing homes and always did an excellent job. Recently Dead River has subcontracted these job out to individuals outside there company with ok results from my perspective. However, this past year was an exception. The person hired by Dead River to winterize my home should not be allowed to present himself as an expert on winterizing homes. Unbeknownst to me at the time, he attached his compressor, which is required to push water through and out of the pipe system to my hot water tank. All of the sediment in the bottom of the tank was forced throughout the pipes, clogging faucet aerators, shower heads, and in several cases the water pipes themselves. I’ve had not only the inconvenience of not having water to shower with or doing laundry etc, but have had to hire people to fix these issues caused by someone who didn’t know his job and should not have been used by Dead River in the first place, and the repairs are still not completed as I have a bathtub that still remains unusable due to this so called “technician’s” screw up. I’m quite aware that Dead River probably doesn’t read these reviews and won’t respond in any fashion, but I would caution any Senior citizen who closes their home for the Winter with the intent of having the water pipes drained and the house winterized, to carefully think about using Dead River for this service!
