Always a nice place to stay. Owners are great.

My wife and I are the new managers here at Tameling Rv Campground. We found that some of the managers in the past really did not keep up with maintaining the property so we are trying very hard to get the property back in order. We have been cutting down the over grown brush around the lake so our campers can fish along the banks. We finally had time to paint the shower rooms. Keeping the shower rooms sanitized everyday is a job all by its self. WE DO KEEP UP WITH SANITIZING OUR SHOWER TWICE EVERYDAY FOR COVID-19. We see several negative reviews and we are working very hard everyday to address every issue. Remember there is only two of us working 150 acres so bear with us. We always remind everyone that wants to come out and camp with us that we are located on top of a coal mine so there are times that our well water smells like sulfur, this we cannot control. Some people have said that we never answer the office phone.nThe phone are on from 8am - 8pm 7 days per week. If we do not answer the phone that is because we are somewhere on the property working. With 150 acres sometimes the cell phone signal is very week. So please leave a message and we will call back as soon as we have a good signal. If you want a park to look nice we cannot sit inside the office all day.nWe have 27 campsites that are full hook up. These sites are usually filled with travelling workers. Our primitive area is for weekend campers, we are working very hard at opening sites that have overgrown under brush, so hopefully 2021 will bring at least 8 new primitive site. So if your in need of a campsite give us a call. The property is very quiet. But keep in mind, this is a travelling workers campground so there really is not much for children to do except for hike and hunt for fossils or fish.nAs always travel freely but travel safe.

The main reason I'm giving this place two stars is because the lady that works there is super sweet and if not for her I would give it 1star. As for the facilities and amenities here... they have a pond you can catch and release fish, if you can find a spot off the bank to try and do so. The pond from what all I could see is over grown. You pay for everything here except the water. The water is horrible. The smell and the funk is atrocious. It stains and the sulphur smell at times is so strong it can make you sick. My electric at the end of a month was a little over 80. I was very conservative and worked 14 hrs a day away from camp so be warned its expensive. The rent agreement there is a large packet and you better read. You must cut the grass or be charged, pay extra for guests and so forth. Overall I wouldnt recommend this place.
