Office staff is unprofessional and accusatory, and the counselor I worked with left me struggling with my trauma and in my relationship more than ever- when I came to the clinic seeking couples therapy and was forced into individual instead. I was pressured multiple times to seek a different therapist for couples therapy despite clear statements from both my partner and I on who we wanted to see. I have been in therapy for 18 years off and on and I have never worked with a practice this disjointed and admins this passive aggressive. At one point my therapist even suggested to my partner that he have me admitted to inpatient against my will... in our first session.

Kasia is very caring and accepting love to talk to her. I have been with Joan who really wants to help with many of my issues. She is excellent. Highly recommend this place. Finally feeling like help has arrived.

Kasia is very easy to talk to and very insightful. I recommend her if you're looking for a therapist. Overall you can't go wrong with working with any therapist at Counseling Speaks. They really just care about your healing journey.

Our practice comprises establishments of independent mental health practitioners primarily engaged in (1) the diagnosis and treatment of mental, emotional, and behavioral disorders and/or (2) the diagnosis and treatment of individual or group social dysfunction brought about by such causes as mental illness, alcohol and substance abuse, physical and emotional trauma, or stress. We are providing clinical counseling, consultation, yoga therapy, equine assisted psychotherapy, life coaching, clinical supervision, crisis intervention, continuing education, speaking engagements, and DUI Evaluations/ DUI risk reduction education levels I and Il with a diverse team utilizing creativity and collaboration.***Offices in Park Ridge, Chicago, Barrington and Lake Forest. Some services may be offered in-person, or virtually via phone or video.
