SJL Motors

The experience with this purchase started out great and ended in utter disappointment. After a long online search, we found the vehicle we wanted in Chicago, IL from said dealership. Keep in mind that we live in Charlotte, NC. This is not right around the corner from us. The dealer agreed to deliver the vehicle at no charge and gave us the impression that delivery would be no problem. This quickly became a problem for the dealer. They could not find transport to Charlotte from Chicago. This is of course after all the financings been complete. We decided to fly out and get the car ourselves. This is when the real fun began. Once at the dealership I found out that the car only came with 1 key. Keep in mind that this is a 2020 Mercedes G550. $160,000 vehicle. You would think that the vehicle would come with 2 keys. Or at least give us the courtesy of knowing that the car would only come with 1 key. Nevertheless, the deal is done, and I am there to get the vehicle. As I drive away on my 12 hour drive back to Charlotte, the tire pressure light comes on. I pull over to the nearest gas station to add air to only find out that there was a large screw in the front passenger tire. Also keep in mind that this is on a Sunday. Now I am in desperate need for a tire repair shop in order to fix the tire. I called the dealer and expressed my disappointment. Luckily, I found a tire shop only to find out more bad news. There is a nail in the passenger rear tire. This took about 3 hours to resolve and was an inconvenience to say the least. I have yet to hear an apology from the owner of the dealership. I gave them 2 stars only because the salesperson that initially helped me gave the best service up front when showing me the vehicle.

SJL Motors is always super helpful At finding us our next car. They are on the ball and always quick about getting back to us and really hustles. I will definitely use SJL Motors in the future and refer them to friends and family!

I must say, this was an amazing experience. They are very honest and knowledgeable, they were able to give me a lot of useful information related to the car that I purchased, I think if you are looking for an exotic car this would be a great place to look. Thank you SJL Motors.

Overall a good experience. The test drive was hassle free... literally just copied my driver's license and handed the keys over.nnTheir fees are steep, but they are up front about them. No hidden fees, the paperwork was very simple.nnFor people complaining about scratches in their paint... those are called swirl marks. They were probably already there and you just didn't see them. They can be buffed out.nnProbably not SJL's fault, most used cars will have them. But I hope SJL has checked to make sure their detailer isn't to blame.nnI only received 1 set of keys, which is a pain especially since keys in modern cars are so expensive to duplicate. They said they are waiting to see if Audi may send them. If I receive a 2nd pair of keys I'll bump my review to 5 stars.
