We had such a great experience at Pine Country. The grounds were well maintained and the staff was extremely attentive. We stopped by the office to find some wood for our campfire that night and a staff member delivered it right to our rig a few mins after we got back to it. I was really impressed. There was a low hanging telephone cable across the entrance when we were there that we probably could have hit on the low side. We avoided it by driving on the other side of the road, but had we not we were definitely close to it at 13’ 6” tall. Hoping that can get that raised up by the time we get there next.

Clean very well maintained campground. We had zero negative experience. We really enjoyed this place! Quiet and peaceful. Mosquitos near the woodsy areas yes, but typical summer bugs!? We biked around the little trails. Didn't swim in the pool however it looked really nice... appeared clean and was a large pool. Thanks Pine Country - we'll be back if we come through this way again!

Nice place. Great location to visit our family in the area. Easy to get to and very clean amenities.

Mixed feelings... it was ok for what it was, but the expectations were different than what we got.nnReservation said full hookups with 50amp. The site was only 30amp but it was cool enough that we didn't need AC. Water was a little low on pressure with max of 45psi. Sewer hookup was good.nnWe camped over Labor Day weekend so we expected it to be a little crazy, but wow! This is a party campground! There were parades of loud golf carts for 3 days straight. The only thing that calmed things down a bit was the rain. But the first break in the storm brought out hundreds of people mingling and partying with no masks and definitely no social distancing. The welcome packet didn't mention much about COVID rules like most other campgrounds the past couple months, so maybe it's just not as strict here in Illinois?nnIt rained most of the week so we didn't really get to experience much of the campground. The pool was drained and closed after Labor Day. And everything else was soggy wet.nnIt was also a little unusual that after the holiday, the campground emptied out but nearly all the RVs stayed put. It seemed like 90% of the campground was annual rental spots with just a few spots up front and a couple back where we were that were transient.
